Morality is one of humanity’s main philosophical preoccupations but it doesn’t belong so much to philosophy as to religion; it is what gives religions their universal power. The very concept of morality is different for each; no philosophy serves morality but for philosophers morality should serve philosophy. For religion, morality is identified with God himself, thus it is the supreme value.
it is important because it serves us as a basic merit, one that pushes us going forward, boostes us holding a good view toward our world and spurs us keeping our sane mind.
we value it by supporting others who need help, we value it by going against evils who do harm to our familys and we value it by asking ourselves that whether our lives really make some sense? Morality is to us what wings are to birds. Without wings, birds can live but is unhappy, looking up to sky eagerly. To us , without morality, we can still live but begin to doubt our own lives: what am I living for? Hence, morality is something that we need value by our own heart, which enable us to know who we are and what we are living for.
